Meet Our Founder

Lily Okech, born in 1989 under a tree in Uganda, arrived in the United States at the age of 15, speaking no English. Despite the challenges, Lily quickly learned the language and discovered her passion for helping others. As an American citizen since 2014, Lily understands the life of a refugee, having lost family members, friends, and her home.

Motivated by her personal experiences, Lily founded Cleaning for Hope to bridge the gap in supporting refugees living in our community. Her mission goes beyond providing cleaning services; it's about community support for those who may lack a friend to talk to or a family to run to. Lily's journey reflects resilience, determination, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Through “Cleaning For Hope”, I seek to empower local refugees through culturally grounded job opportunities, filled with support and love.
